Music
Therapy

Music therapy uses evidence-based music techniques to address therapeutic goals such as movement, attention, speech, and the sensory system. Music can form neural pathways in the brain in unique ways and is very effective for individuals with autism, down syndrome, cerebral palsy and more.

Communication
Strategies

Everyone has the right to communicate. Whether your goal is increasing speech or finding communication supports for non-speaking individuals, we find and support the best communication method for everyone. Spelling to Communicate (S2C) is also available.

Sensory &
Movement

The body’s ability to move efficiently is foundational to all stages of development - from birth into adulthood. We evaluate a client’s motor system across a wide range of areas, including brain connections, the sensory system, and primitive reflexes to help bodies achieve calm and control.

Behavior &
Home Support

An unwanted behavior can be the first sign that a child could benefit from therapeutic help. Through assessment and conversation with clients and caregivers, we address the root cause and equip families with exercises and techniques to use at home, school and beyond.

My Approach

Therapy Foundations is rooted in the idea of assuming competence - the belief that every individual is smart and capable, regardless of their ability to demonstrate it through speech, language or movement.

Whether you care for someone with a diagnosed disability or your child simply experiences challenges at home or school, we want to help every individual overcome obstacles and reach their fullest potential.

Jenna Anderson

Jenna Anderson is a board-certified music therapist (MT-BC) with additional training in Neurologic Music Therapy and Neurodevelopmental Music Therapy, Primitive Reflexes, and Spelling to Communicate. She has over 20 years of experience working with individuals of all ages with disabilities, movement impairments and behavioral challenges.

We started working with Jenna when our 8 year-old twins were only 3 years old, and her help has been life-altering!  From the very first time we met with Jenna she has helped us understand what Autism is, what is happening in their brains, and especially, the BEST WAYS to help our boys everyday.  Our sons go to therapy with Jenna, and I attend parent meetings with her when they are in school. I wouldn’t miss a week!  She has taught our whole family how to support and encourage our sons at home, in school, and out in the world.  Her therapy sessions and one-on-one meetings with us, as parents, have made the greatest impact on our boys’ growth, development, and self-confidence.
